INSANITY – To do the same things over and over again and expect a different result.
On January 14, 2011 we had a Company meeting introducing STI and posted signs everywhere stating STI, Stop the Insanity! The signs included the definition of INSANITY; “To do the same things over and over again and expect a different result. “
We realized that we had to do things differently to achieve the desired result; doing the same thing over and over again was frustrating to say the least.
Most Companies and people hope for a different result, but they do the same thing over and over again and “hope” is not a strategy for change or improvements.
STI is the foundation for rethinking changes in our processes, equipment, communication, documentation, and any where else that we are not getting the results we wanted to achieve. We solved problems we had for years by engaging our entire TEAM of employees in the mission of STI. We have also expanded how quickly we can react and improve everything we are doing.
